从中国传来的稻米,自弥生时代开始被正式生产,开启了稻米大量生产的历史。可以说伴随着稻米生产,也构建起了被称为日本的国家。今天我们在思考是否赞成稻米进口自由化之前,至少应当重新考虑对日本人而言稻米究竟代表着什么。而为了检证这个论述,我们以此为主题策划了这个展览会。除此之外,诸如人类学者竹村真一等大量研究者们也都参与了这个展览会。
The rice that came from China has been officially produced since the Yayoshi era, marking the beginning of a history of large-scale rice production. It can be said that with the production of rice, a country known as Japan was also established. Today, before considering whether we support the liberalization of rice imports, we should at least reconsider what rice represents for the Japanese. In order to verify this argument, we planned this exhibition with this as the theme. In addition, a large number of researchers such as anthropologist Shinichi Takemura also participated in this exhibition.
